Romans 12 says that as we are transformed by the renewing of our mind, we will prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. God doesn’t beat around the bush but tells it like it is. His plan and intention for you is blessing in every area of your life, and it is there for the choosing. But if you want it, just like a destiny on your GPS, you must follow the instructions and go down the right roads. The amazing thing is that even if you wander or intentionally make a wrong turn, you can decide to come back to God, life, and blessing.
“…return to the Lord your God and obey His voice, according to all that I command you today, you and your children, with all your heart and with all your soul, that the Lord your God will bring you back from captivity, and have compassion on you…”
It is important to note we can’t set ourselves free from the things that have held us captive, but God can and will when we turn and follow Him. He asks you to obey Him with all your heart and all your soul. He doesn’t want us just going through the motions or saying the words. We need to look seriously at the evidence in our life. Do I say God is first, but I decide what is best for my family and no one is telling me how to raise my children? Do I say I want to know God’s will, but I feign deafness when He says end this relationship, forgive that person, be kind with that unbearable boss, or take out your wallet to bless someone? With all your heart means you give the Lord the throne of your life and the center of your attention. You love Him more than anything else in the world including your spouse, children, family, career, goals, and yourself. With all your soul means you decide that your MIND will think only that which aligns with God’s thoughts, your delight is to do the WILL of God not your own, and your EMOTIONS don’t take the lead but rather follow right thinking instead.
I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you, life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days…”
Choose life! It’s a decision you must make once and for all, and it’s a decision that you make every day. You choose life when you believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God who gave himself to die for you so that you may live a life in abundance. In a moment, you are born again into eternal life, reconciled with God, and transferred from the kingdom of Satan and darkness to the kingdom of God and his glorious light. You choose life every day when you choose faith over reason, love over hate, and God’s will over mine. LOVE the Lord. OBEY his voice. And CLING to Him.

Prayer: Tell God you choose life, His life. Surrender the throne of your heart and center your affections on Him.
Día 14: Tú decides,¡Escoge la vida!
Romanos 12 dice que conforme somos transformados por la renovacion de nuestra mente, vamos a comprobar cual sea la voluntad de Dios, buena, agradable, y perfecta. Dios no anda con rodeos, sino que dice las cosas como son. Su plan e intención para ti es bendecir cada área de tu vida, y está ahí para que lo escojas. Pero si lo deseas, al igual que un destino en tu GPS, debes seguir las instrucciones e ir por los caminos correctos. Lo sorprendente es que incluso si deambulas o intencionalmente haces un giro equivocado, puedes decidir volver a Dios, a la vida y a la bendición.
“…si vuelves, tú con tus hijos, al SEÑOR tu Dios y obedeces su voz con todo tu corazón y con toda tu alma, conforme a todo lo que yo te mando hoy,entonces el SEÑOR tu Dios también te restaurará de tu cautividad. Él tendrá misericordia de ti …”
Es importante tener en cuenta que no podemos liberarnos de las cosas que nos han mantenido cautivos, pero Dios puede y lo hará cuando nos volvamos y lo sigamos. Él te pide que le obedezcas con todo tu corazón y toda tu alma. Él no quiere que simplemente hagamos las cosas por inercia o digamos las palabras. Necesitamos mirar seriamente la evidencia en nuestra vida. ¿Digo que Dios es lo primero, pero yo decido qué es lo mejor para mi familia y nadie me dice cómo criar a mis hijos? ¿Digo que quiero saber la voluntad de Dios, pero finjo sordera cuando Él dice que termine esta relación, perdone a esa persona, sea amable con ese jefe insoportable o saque mi billetera para bendecir a alguien? Con todo tu corazón significa que le das al Señor el trono de tu vida y el centro de tu atención. Lo amas más que cualquier otra cosa en el mundo, incluyendo a tu cónyuge, hijos, familia, carrera, metas y a ti mismo. Con toda tu alma significa que decides que tu MENTE pensará solo lo que se alinea con los pensamientos de Dios, tu deleite es hacer la VOLUNTAD de Dios, no la tuya, y tus EMOCIONES no toman la iniciativa, sino que siguen el pensamiento correcto.
“Llamo hoy por testigos contra ustedes a los cielos y a la tierra, de que he puesto delante de ustedes la vida y la muerte, la bendición y la maldición. ESCOGE, PUES, LA VIDA PARA QUE VIVAS, tú y tus descendientes, amando al SEÑOR tu Dios, escuchando su voz y siéndole fiel. Porque él es tu vida y la prolongación de tus días…”
¡Escoge la vida! Es una decisión que debes tomar de una vez por todas, y es una decisión que tomas todos los días. Eliges la vida cuando crees que Jesucristo es el Hijo de Dios que se entregó a morir por ti para que puedas vivir una vida en abundancia. En un momento, naces de nuevo a la vida eterna, te reconcilias con Dios y eres transferido del reino de Satanás y las tinieblas al reino de Dios y su gloriosa luz. Eliges la vida todos los días cuando eliges la fe sobre la razón, el amor sobre el odio y la voluntad de Dios sobre la tuya. AMA al Señor. ESCUCHA su voz Y obedécele. Y SE FIEL a Él.
